About the winery

Feudo Cavaliere has belonged to the Platania D'Antoni family since 1880 and is now the subject of revisiting a project by a descendant The company degrades from 1000 to 900 meters s.l.m. in the south side of the volcano. Vegetation, fauna and breathtaking views offer a unique image of the Etnean territory where you can still meet the wild cat, the porcupine, the peregrine falcon and the golden eagle or walk in woods of oaks and chestnuts. The vineyards anchored to the black and sandy soil of the terraces made of lava stone, are raised as saplings and spurred cordon. The production cycle is oriented towards high quality, careful and punctual agronomic interventions. The cultivation operations, the selection of the bunches and the harvesting are carried out exclusively by hand and with great care in order to bring excellent grapes to the winery. Destemming, important maceration, controlled fermentation and continuous monitoring of aging allow to obtain Red wines with intense colors, rich and complex bouquet and full-bodied and balanced taste with soft tannins and Whites and Rosés pleasantly fresh, with intense and flowery bouquet.
