About the winery
The Azienda Falcone was founded in 1990 by replanting an old vineyard on the southwest side of the Etna volcano, located in the DOC area of Santa Maria di Licodia. The vineyard was planted in accordance with the production regulations of the Etna DOC. The vineyard is structured with a trellis system, which allows for mechanized cultivation while still preserving traditions and carefully considering the vegetative and production needs of the Nerello Mascalese grapevines. In 2012, due to the excellent vintage, it was decided to vinify and create the first bottled wine of the Falcone company.
