About the winery
The Vini Di Mauro is a small family business born from the experience of four generations who have alternated in the management and custody of a vineyard at the foot of Etna. The main focus of the company is the balance between innovation and tradition in respect of nature and the vine in order to obtain great wines. - VINEYARD - The family vineyard is located on the eastern side of the volcano, at 850 m asl, at the gates of the natural reserve of the "Etna Park". It enjoys a beautiful view of the Ionian coast and a perfect exposure to sunlight. The soil, of volcanic nature and rich in minerals, lends itself perfectly to the cultivation of must grapes. The strong temperature differences between day and night also help the berries to develop a thicker skin to better protect and preserve the organoleptic characteristics. Currently the vineyard is composed 100% of plants of Nerello Mascalese.
