About the winery
Vini Ampelon were founded in 2009 by the will of Barbara and Valter Gazzotti on the northern slopes of Etna, with the discovery, in some of the most suitable places of Etna viticulture, of ancient vineyards of nerello Mascalese in a prevalent state of neglect. After a complex work of recovery and restructuring of the vineyards identified between 700 and 850 meters above sea level, today Ampelon leads the 8 hectares of property with the sole aim of producing quality and thick wines, able to survive the time and to reflect in the glass the territory and the vintage.
