About the winery
On the slolpes of Mount Etna – Europe’s most alive vulcano – Tenuta Boccarossa follows its passion and continues the old family tradition of growing and producing wine by using the indigenous grapes of Nerello Mascalese and Carricante. The vineyards are located inw Contrada Feudo di Mezzo-Porcaria, Contrada Pontale Palino and Contrada Arena. The particular properties of the vulcanic soil, the huge thermal excursion between day and night and the unique climatic conditions on the northern side of the vulcano are outstanding natural ingredients for a great quality of grapes. The sun riped and hand selected grapes allow us to produce an excellent wine!
