About the winery
The Nuzzella Agricultural Company was born from our family's deep attraction to the world of wine and our passion for " 'a Muntagna" (the mountain). It was here, in 2015, that we decided to invest in a dream and purchase approximately 4 hectares of land (vineyard and olive grove) located on the border between the towns of Piedimonte Etneo and Linguaglossa. Immediately, the exciting work of restoring the existing old vineyard began, comprising 1.6 hectares planted with native grape varieties: Nerello Mascalese, Carricante, and Catarratto. Our vines are grown on trellises, with a density of 5000 vines per hectare. The work is carried out manually throughout the year with meticulous care, in harmony with nature, following the principles of certified organic farming. No herbicides or synthetic products are used; instead, we use low doses of copper and sulfur, provide organic matter to the soil through annual legume and grass cover crops, and employ pheromones to combat harmful insects. This is our way of not only taking care of the wine we offer but also of respecting and thanking the beautiful land that blesses us with it.
