About the winery
From the happy intuition that a good wine is "poetry" and to make it it takes "art", was born in 2005 Al-Cantàra. The company takes its name from the river that, on the slopes of theEtna. The name "Al-Cantàra", which means "bridge" in Arabic, touches the Feudo S. Anastasia district in Randazzo, where the lands and the cellars are located. The winery, of about 20 hectares, produces wines ETNA DOC and Native Wines obtained only with grapes harvested in their own lands, privileging autochthonous vines (Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and Carricante) without neglecting research and experimentation (Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon). Moreover, Etna's volcanic soil, rich in minerals, gives these wines absolutely unique aromas.
